Dr. Thomas
Dr. Joseph Thomas has been practicing
dentistry for 20 years. Staying at the forefront of his field
has always been a high priority for Dr. Thomas. He is involved
in several dental organizations. He is a member of the 9th
District Dental Society, the Montana Dental Association, the
ADA, the Academy of General Dentistry and the American Academy
of Cosmetic Dentistry. He is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys
fishing and hunting the streams and landscapes of Montana.
Playing basketball or working out at a local health club are
spare time activities which Dr. Thomas thoroughly enjoys as
a means of staying sharp, fit, and relaxed.
His career has been highlighted by memberships
in several professional organizations and attendance at numerous
continuing education courses. Dr. Thomas received his bachelor
of science degree as well as his dental degree at the University
of Washington.
AACD Accreditation
Among Dr. Thomas’ special distinctions
is his Accredited Status in the American Academy of Cosmetic
Dentistry. To earn accreditation, he gave a written, verbal
and slide presentation to the national panel detailing the
procedures involved in a number of cosmetic cases. The American
Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry is the only organization to
offer a post-graduate certificate in Cosmetic Dentistry and
is also the largest association of cosmetic dentists in the
world.
AGD Accreditation
Dr. Thomas has also earned a Fellowship
in the Academy of General Dentistry. The Academy of General
Dentistry is an organization of general dentists dedicated
to continuing education and reliable information for their
patients. Members have made increasing demands for the quality
and challenges that continuing education can provide. To earn
the Fellowship Award, members must earn a minimum of 500 approved
continuing dental education credits and pass an AGD fellowship
written test.
Restorative/Cosmetic Continuing
Education
Staying current in his field is a high
priority for Dr. Thomas. This commitment is evidenced by his
attendance at over 500 hours of continuing education in the
last few years. Dr. Thomas has already completed over 100
hours of continuing education courses in the first half of
2001. These courses have been in esthetic, restoration and
cosmetic dentistry. He has been published in the Academy of
Cosmetic Dentistry Journal.
Membership Involvement
He is actively involved in several dental
organizations. He is a member of the American Dental Association,
the Academy of General Dentistry and the Academy of Cosmetic
Dentistry. He is also a member of the Montana Dental Association
and the Yellowstone Dental Study Club.
In his leisure time, Dr. Thomas enjoys
fishing and hunting in the area. He also likes to play basketball
and works out at a local health club.
